Environmental Philosophy of Advaitavedānta: A Reading on Īśāvāsyopaniṣad

Abstract

Protection of the environment is a key concern for modern world.  Human beings exploiting nature for more and more comforts end up in a no-alternative crisis.  We are in a state too far away from the right action.  Protecting nature without hindering the progress of humankind is today’s burning topic for discussion.  An ideological shift may help man with new insight to resolve the problem in a subtler level.  The Īśāvāsyopaniṣad mantra-s sheds light to the ideological insight to be absorbed by humankind for its own future.
