Abstract

This study aims to examine the inflation trends from 2011 to 2022 across six Asian nations, namely Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. It compares the inflation rates of these countries with each other and the global inflation landscape. The research also explores the factors that influence price fluctuations and their economic impact.

One of the key findings of this study is the recent surge in global material prices, which poses challenges for affordability. Additionally, each country has unique price drivers. For instance, Japan faces deflationary pressures while India experiences higher inflation rates. The study investigates various factors such as tourist arrivals and government policies that contribute to the inflation rates in these countries.
