ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AMONG YOUTH – A STUDY WITH REFERENCE TO VIJAYAPURA DISTRICT

Abstract

Environmental awareness among youth is of paramount importance in the contemporary world, where environmental issues pose significant challenges. This study aims to assess the level of environmental awareness among the youth in Vijayapura District, a region known for its rich natural resources and cultural heritage. The research explores various factors influencing youth awareness and their attitudes towards environmental conservation.

The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, including surveys and interviews, to collect data from a diverse sample of youth in the district. Key themes investigated include knowledge about environmental issues, participation in environmental activities, sources of environmental information, and the role of education and social influences in shaping environmental consciousness.
