This study is aimed at finding out the search behaviour of B-Tech Computer Science students studying in a university located in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand while seeking information and how they use the information obtained. This research has been conducted to determine the difficulties and difficulties faced by students in obtaining the information they want. The main objective of the researcher in the present research is to find out the interest of Computer Science students and to provide guidelines for proper assistance and to obtain information about how students use new information technology and how they keep themselves updated with the relevant information technology. The study collected data on the information needs of B-Tech Computer Science students through questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed to 180 students, out of which 155 students returned the fully filled questionnaire. After studying and analyzing the data, it is concluded that there is a need for guidance from the library staff to help B-Tech Computer Science students in fulfilling their information needs and to make maximum use of the resources available in the library. Librarians should select library resources keeping in mind the needs of the students (Fidzani n.d.)
