Abstract

The study examines the role of e-learning in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and its potential to enhance accessibility, flexibility, and personalized learning. However, the region faces challenges such as digital infrastructure disparities, digital literacy gaps, and resistance to traditional methods. A mixed-methods approach involving surveys and expert interviews was used to highlight the strengths and limitations of e-learning in Dehradun's universities. The findings suggest that a blended approach combining traditional and digital methods is more effective in addressing local educational needs. The study concludes with strategic recommendations, including investments in digital infrastructure, targeted teacher training, and hybrid learning models. By addressing these challenges, Dehradun's educational institutions can create a more inclusive, flexible, and resilient education system.
