Abstract

This research paper explores the potential of collaborative networking and resource sharing among private university libraries to address resource limitations and the increasing demand for comprehensive information services. By leveraging digital platforms, consortia, and inter-library cooperation, these institutions can enhance their resource base, optimize access to information and improve service delivery to their academic communities. Key barriers include technological disparities, administrative hurdles and intellectual property concerns. The study proposes strategic solutions such as implementing shared digital repositories, developing standardized protocols for resource sharing and establishing robust communication networks. By embracing collaboration, private university libraries can enhance their capabilities and contribute to the overall academic and research ecosystem.
