Abstract

Libraries play a vital role in combating misinformation and fake news by promoting information accuracy and media literacy. They employ strategies such as fact-checking resources, digital literacy programs, and community engagement to enhance critical thinking. However, challenges like resource constraints and the evolving nature of misinformation hinder their effectiveness. Strengthening collaborations with educational institutions and technology platforms can improve their impact. This study highlights the need for technological integration, policy support, and community-driven approaches to ensure libraries continue to foster an informed and resilient society.
