This study examines the socio-economic aspects of agribusiness ventures across Northeast India, focusing on respondent demographics, agribusiness experience, and financial turnover. A state-wise comparative analysis of 250 respondents from six states highlights disparities in agribusiness participation, gender distribution, and economic performance. Assam and Manipur report the highest turnover, whereas Sikkim has the lowest, indicating regional economic imbalances. Regression analysis identifies age, education, and workforce size as significant determinants of turnover, while factors like gender, business duration, and promotional activities show no substantial impact. Findings suggest that agribusiness success is linked to experience, education, and workforce expansion rather than gender or promotional efforts. Policymakers should focus on workforce development, skill-based education, and targeted financial support to enhance agribusiness sustainability. Addressing regional disparities and improving access to training and resources can strengthen agribusiness profitability and growth in Northeast India.
