On Simplified Literature of Vedānta Philosophy

Abstract

Authoritative texts of a philosophical system guaranty its theoretical stance. Different schools of Vedānta had their origin on the very basis of commentaries on the authoritative texts known as prasthānatrayi.  The later history of Vedānta marks with an acceptance of some simplified literature such as philosophical dramas catering to the needs of different levels of learners.  These texts had their origin due to the popularity of Vedānta among common people.
