This study investigates the impact of a structured combination of aerobic and resistance training on cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength among secondary school students in Vijayapura, Karnataka, India. A sample of 40 participants (20 boys and 20 girls) engaged in interschool sports competitions were selected. Over a 12-week intervention, participants underwent a specially designed training program. Pre- and post-test results were analyzed using paired t-tests to assess improvements in VO₂ max (as a measure of cardiovascular endurance) and muscular strength through push-up and sit-up tests. The study concludes that a combined training regime significantly enhances both cardiovascular and muscular fitness in adolescent athletes.
