Abstract

The goal of this paper is to monitor the drinking water level in the water tanks in forest areas. It is seen that in the summer season, most of the water resources in the forest are dry out. However, the forest department built a concrete water tank in the forest area to avoid the drinking water crises. Water is provided to the water tank with the help of a tanker vehicle. Also, the authorised person has to monitor the water level status therefore he has to visit the many water tank locations by vehicle in the forestfrom time to time. It is fuel and time-consuming work. If the authorised person knows the water level status of all tanks in one place, he goes to only that location where the water level in the tank is unsatisfactory. To monitor the water level status in the tank, a water level sensor is installed in the concrete water tank. The sensor is connected to the ESP8266 module which reads the sensor status. It sends a Whatsapp message whenever the water level in the tank is unsatisfactory.
