This research paper delves into the multifaceted dimensions of gender equality, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state and challenges faced in achieving parity between genders. The study employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining sociological, economic, and cultural perspectives to analyze the various facets of gender equality.The paper begins by establishing the historical context of gender roles and the evolution of the feminist movement, tracing the trajectory of advancements and setbacks in the pursuit of gender equality. It explores the intersectionality of gender with other social
categories such as race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status, recognizing the importance of addressing multiple layers of discrimination. A significant portion of the research focuses on the workplace, examining the persisting gender wage gap, occupational
