Impact of Blended Learning on Retention In Social Science Subject of Grade Ninth Students

Student learning retention refers to the ability of a student to keep learning concepts for a long period. Learning retention is the process of transferring new information into long-term memory. This means the learners have effectively taken in the information and are able to recall it in the future.The present research tried to find out the effectiveness of Blended Learning on learning retention in Social Science of grade ninth students. A pretest-posttest experimental design was used in the study. On the basis of data analysis and interpretation of the results obtained, the research hypothesis was accepted. The retention of the students who were taught Social Science through the Blended Learning Method was higher than that of the students who were taught through the Conventional Method.
